I would pay good money to see the competitions faces when you rock up in your Tiptree Velo skinsuit......  right i'm off to Paddy Power to place my bet!  ;D
Haha...I have my PBP 2015 top which I picked in a moment of optimistic hope I would lose more weight. It would be ideal but there is a chance my arms will drop off before the end of the night.

Better still come along and take part!

Of course there are massive elf & safety aspects to consider here but would carrying two small children on board be considered cheating  ???

That'll be fine.  Bring Mrs Retiree as well, we could have a special WAGs event too!

She would definitely be cheating as she carries her laptop in her basket and a rucksack on her back with all her school folders in.......   :-\

It's impossible to cheat, just get her there!

I suggest we aim to meet at the bottom on TMNH at 8pm for a quick brief and then take it from there.  Does sound OK folks?

The Google calendar has been updated and now looks like this ...

W 31 May - Endeavour, Chelmsford (hopefully Indian International Super Randonneur friendly)
W7 June - Donkey & Buskin, Layer-De-La-Haye

By the way I'm on the lash (on expenses  ) in Manchester next Wednesday so feel free to circumvent FORWARD PLANNING.  The score is very healthy at the moment so can tolerate an outbreak on anarchy.

Just to be clear, forward planning only applies when you can actually be arsed coming out ?

Not at all.  FORWARD PLANNING is the gift that goes on giving, even when I am unavoidably detained elsewhere in the furtherance of my illustrious career as a ... er not quite sure ... if anyone ever works it out please can they let me know.

Hmmm, just thinking, I wonder how far the tandem would go freewheeling.... it's a heavy beast.

Yeah - but - remember you have to get up the hill in the first place :)

Unfortunately (at the moment) I will be in Scotland thus avoiding North Hill - which I still haven't been up at all this year!  :o

Current weather forecast for Wednesday afternoon/evening is particularly wet - 20mm plus before pub kicking out time.

Time to bring out the wet weather bike and kit for me, whichever pub. Are there any roads or areas that regularly flood we should be avoiding? - like Bumfords Lane.

Oh, Nice.....I just remembered I will be in London as well  ;D

I will plan to get out but if it is that wet I might not go with my ride from Shenfield plan.

I'm planning to join the ride on Wednesday, joining at spa Road roundabout or TMNH depending on the route
