I'm toying with the idea of riding and eating there... undecided at the moment.

I've worked it out at 140km which might be a bit much for a school night with a trip to London to follow in the morning.

I did enjoy my trip to Aythorpe Roding last year though so I would like another more miles trip before the nights start setting in again.

I could be tempted out tonight but it's a long ride home in the rain.

I might do my own eastern version at the Donkey & Buskins or something.

I`ll share the pleasure on the return until Colchester. It might not rain at all, think positive

This was last year's ride to the Cock at HBO, more miles less beer.
The Witham peloton is likely to be at the pub between 9:15 and 9:30 depending upon wind factor and if there is no en route rehydration at the Compasses.

I should be at the Compasses just after 20:00

when you say share the pleasure you will be with me for about a mile after Spa before I head off up to Braxted and you head off to Horkesley.

I'll think about it.

You can`t escape that easily, I`ll return via Braxted, Tiptree and the B1022 to Heckfordbridge.

Yes, confirmed.

I'm going to do a loopy ride and will aim to be in HBO by 9pm.

So forward planning for this week has HBO/Sawbo? That's out, I guess, after going west last week.

I see the Sun at Feering has a beer festival on from Wednesday to Sunday [Father's Day] this week...might tempt the Off-Shore and Eastern contingent out?

I'm away this week in the SW with family so not out Wednesday.  However, I bring your attention to Revelry 2017 at Bishop Nick on Sunday, may be worth a visit for Father's day  ;D

Calendar currently showing The Gate @ Sawbridgeworth as Wednesday's destination...  ???

It's a long way out, but the weather looks good for this week and it's light almost till 10 at the moment...  (potential light headwind home though but...)

That said, I'm happy with Feering as well.. There's probably only 5-10km in difference for me...

Feering sounds good and is about the mid-point for everyone other than those who inhabit the western rim of the known galaxy.

Who knows, I might even make it out.

Edit:  It's also about time we went forrin again as well.

I think my favourite ride of last year was the Anchor at Nayland which was about this time.  It's nice to take advantage of the light nights for a bit of forrin travel.

Not sure I can make Nayland next week but have we formed a collective agreement about The Sun Feering... ?

I'd note some of our Westerners might have been stonking around the hills of the SW over the weekend.... though the beer festival is attractive

OD is away so the calendar will need to be updated as there are a few using that as their point of reference for Wednesday.... (including a few guests from ACH)...

I can update the calendar if we are agreed on The Sun  ???

Hi Each,

I'm not around this Wednesday due to a family birthday, then out for a couple of weeks.

I'm planning a Boudicca's Revenge 200K for this Saturday to try and keep my legs in.
