Or we could do the Walnut Tree just around the corner from there.

 see you all tonight. Hopefully on a bike if I get out of work in time.

I'm aiming to arrive at 8pm.

I need to do a bit of searching at lunchtime for a bespoke tool kindly donated by BFC to help remove my freewheel. My garage has been emptied of most contents whilst I have been reconfiguring it for actual use after many years spent as a storage unit ... painting walls, putting up bike hangers, installing shelving, laying tiled flooring, etc. Somewhere in the boxes of contents that contain previous garage contents is this bespoke tool. If I don't find it I'll be riding a spinny gear this evening on my singlespeed (setup for Swiss mountains), otherwise I'll be back to a more general purpose gear ratio.

Assuming we are going to the Walnut Tree, or indeed the Rose & Crown, Great Waltham, I have fettled THIS SUGGESTED ROUTE for the Witham Peloton.  I've ridden it before and really like to bit through Chelmsford and up to Broomfield.
If departing at the usual time following the proposed route the Witham Peloton is likely to arrive in Broads Green around 9pm, or at least I will, given my post holiday fitness.

Bespoke tool found. Freewheel not changed as I realised I could get the desired gear ratio by changing the chainring only  :) . I'm all set.

Running a few errands on my way over, including popping into the Witham 'spoons for a word about the Grand in a week's time ... may well arrive after 21:00.

Not sure we've been there, we normally go to The Chapel, but I'm always up for new experiences   In any event, Coggs works well for me.

That's good with me.
I may drive, I'll see how work pans out as that's a 100km round trip for me

See you tomorrow

Getting extra shut-eye tomorrow evening in preparation for The Grand. Have a good one -- I'll be saving myself for a breakfast beer at the Battesford Court on Sunday.

I have been left unsupervised this evening  :o so considering having my tea at 'spoons before we set off to Coggeshall via TMNH  ;D  Does anyone fancy joining me, huggy has expressed tentative interest.  If so we could always launch from 'spoons as opposed to the Roundabout of Late Summer Delights.

How is TMNH on the route to Coggeshall??
Just putting it out there now, I will be in flat land loaded touring mode so will not be going south of the A12!
