I'm out.
I'd be happy to split and stay west but I do owe our wheel builder beer

so don't mind travelling east.
If its that far east or its that wet i'll probably drive though

The Prince of Wales, Brick End, Broxted seems to be the default western foul weather venue. Any other suggestions?

The Prince of Wales works for me - hopefully the weather will be slightly less biblical than it was on our last visit!

Definitely not awheel this evening. Lots of rain all day and at least until arrival time means potentially large puddles and dripping in to a pint, hopefully better next week....

The Western Contingent managed to more or less hit the dry weather window. I started out wearing my rain jacket, but the clouds parted and it turned into a sunny evening, albeit with very wet roads. It just started raining again as I got home at about 23:35 (good tailwind too!). Gavin might not have been so lucky, heading into the wind a bit from Broxted. Owen brought a metal umbrella on wheels ...

Yes I wasn’t so lucky heading home - into the wind and quite heavy rain most of the way too. But it’s only a short trip home from Broxted so all good

Where is due a visit? Walnut Tree, Broads Green; Rose and Crown, Great Waltham; Wheatsheaf or Rose and Crown, Writtle; Viper, Mill Green ...
