I can't make this Wednesday evening, as I have to give a talk/assessment of work for the Dunmow Art Group, but am planning on going to the White Hart in Gt Saling with David Kerry, on Tuesday evening, probably being there for about 9.00pm.

Came down with something nasty Monday night, with a fever that night nurse had trouble bringing down, just feel like I've had an all night free pass at the playboy mansion had all the energy drained from me, sorry not this week

+ met mutual friend for more beer
+ had seriously good "Farmers Ales" in Chelmsford pub
++ met ToKaMaK and bobb in same pub.

what an ace night (not even counting the curry we had, which was one of the
 BEST I have ever tasted).

ToKaMaK had some serious hair issues.

I'll have to reacquaint myself with the Gulshan if it's that good. You were in fine piss-taking form last night, not to mention - quite drunk ;) I cycled about 5 miles, to town and back ::-)

Appalling!  Had I been there I would have put a stop to the piss taking. And I would have remained sober.

Apparently me un Oaky are going out for a spin on Monday night. I am a bit hazy about the exact arrangements as I got well drunk last night when the conversation took place.

We were at a quiz night at an infants school with our respective (and slightly more sober) wives. I wouldn't have thought it possible to get so wasted in such an improbable venue.

At a guess I would say your behaviour was entirely appropriate for your surroundings.

Did you get to play in the sand pit?

No, nor did I fall in the sandpit. And we recycled our empties on the way out at the school's own bottle bank!

I was planning something not unlike this, with the rest stop at Little Totham (The Swan).  About 30 miles to the pub and then 6 back to Witham.

OK - I've now accepted an invitation to play chess on Weds night so I won't be out either.

Not sure about Tuesday yet - if I can make it out, I probably wouldn't get away from here before ~8:45.

David k can't face coming out, but then he doesn't have SPIKY TYRES! I found some ice, for my first serious fun last night - unexpectedly, at the foot of a hill with a hump-backed bridge - and things didn't get out of hand [much!]. If you can come out, Oaky, do you want to pick somewhere nearer to Witham, like the Sq & Compasses? Otherwise, the Compasses at Littley Gn suits me.

My MTB cum tourer (Claud) is in the garage undergoing a disc brake conversion so he can't come out to play.  Hopefully he will be fighting fit soon (I am waiting a delivery from Wiggle) and the snow and ice will still be around so I too can play with our spikey tyres.
