Is anyone following the Trans Atlantic Way race?

The male category is due to have a winner today, but the female race is probably more exciting and still has a day or two to go :D

50k to go for Bjorn Lenhard and he has a good lead over second place.

I am virtually cheering for clubmate Dave Tomlinson who is currently looking good for an impressive top ten finish.

I wasn't but I've just had a look.  It appears Bjorn's could have already finished by now had he not had a navigational problem after doing the Achill Island loop and started going back up the wrong way, losing his lead.

That was not a navigational issue. He had lost / left his wallet in / near Bangor Ennis.

Yeah, a friend is racing.  I'd comment on his ride but I'm worried that he might look on here and link this post back to me  :demon:

I'm watching RAAM. That Christoph Strasser is a machine! He is covering the miles at the rate of knots. And they are VERY VERY hilly miles. Funny how these endurance riders aren't pro cyclists.

He is on course to do 444 miles a DAY!
