It took Louis so long to do
this that he was only able to do it on his cnoc 14 for about 10 days.
He had been scooting on it without pedals for 18+months and was already too big for it, but I thought I'd better let him get a feel for pedalling a bike he's used to before moving him up.
Luckily, I had a larger bike on standby (bought second hand in the summer). It's a bit different - one v brake on the front and a back-pedal brake on the rear. He's taken to it well, though he doesn't use the back brake yet.
But on his first day of riding it I noticed something odd: his language changed immediately.
He came running in to the house to get his brother to join him cycling outside (Dylan is using Louis' old balance bike, but already has designs on the cnoc 14), saying:
"Come on Dylan dude, let's rock and roll!"
I've never heard him say 'dude' or 'rock and roll' before.
Then the penny dropped - I bought the larger bike from Hairy Hippy! My boy has caught Hippy from the bike!
