Just noticed that Palm now do their own version called the P-buddy, designed for use with drysuits.

I remember complaining about how cold I was during my open-water dive training. My instructor said that the answer was two or three large coffees before the dive...it took me ages to understand....and a lot of rinsing the wetsuit in the shower before I could return it with a clear conscience.

I just got a Shewee Extreme in preparation for the big march on 26th March. Tried it when I got home today, wearing jeans and knickers, aiming into the toilet. My aim needs improvement, but otherwise no problems.

That was brave.  My first Shewee experiments ended... badly.

Meh. Some of us blokes have been peeing standing up several times a day for well over forty years, and our aim is still off occasionally.

As with all things, the probability of shewee use going horribly horribly wrong depends on how dire the consequences (in this case measured in terms of distance from a loo and/or change of clothing) may be.  Fortunately, the same logic applies to the traditional squatting method, so it's still a net win...

I am thinking that if we get kettled, we can piss down the legs of the kettlers.

I know. I mean really, isn't it time you sorted that out?

Can a Shewee withstand 120°C?
"The Shewee can be cleaned by machine or hand and withstands temperatures of up to 120°C."
Or do they mean 120°F?

Polypropylene melts at 130C, apparently, so they might be right.

Good to know.  I always bring an autoclave when camping.

But polypropylene (Meraklon) garments hardly wash happily at 40C...
