I always thought it was the salt content of the bacon, helping rebalance your metabolites (or some such scientific bollocks)... ;D

I would have loved to be involved in that research.
Paid to drink and then eat bacon butties. Wonder if the type of bacon or bread made a difference ???

Is that why Muslims don't drink?

If you can eat or drink anything, then keep it down, you haven't got a hangover, just mild discomfort.
Damon.

Just as well I don't drink, eh, or else I might have to eat bacon! :o
Sounds like an egg butty or a decent breakfast would do just as well, though

The only thing that ever cures a proper hangover for me is strong coffee and then supermarket chilled fruit salad. If I have a hangover then the thought of a bacon sandwich just makes me feel ill.

+1 for irn bru, it's the only time I can stomach the stuff. Do you still get money back on the bottles up there?

Yes ;D
I've known this for years, always works for me, (once I can face one that is) ;)
