Actually, in the hanky code purple stands for piercings.

Either:

(a) piercing someone (left pocket) or actually being pierced by someone (right pocket) as an erotic stimulation;

or

(b) indicating that you have piercings (left pocket) or one who desires someone with piercings (right pocket).

. Tissues are useless in the rain and get stuck to wounds and leave bits all over the altura cruisers, hankeys are the only sensible and couth option

You don't need snot rockets, hankies, or kleenex, this is what the shoulder of cycling jerseys are for, as well as the towelling bit on mitts.

Grub should have had a blue jersey with a chequeboard pattern on it... what does that remind me of ... ?
