I discovered that there is a Cwm Gwaun brewery not far at all from where we are staying. Since it would have been rude not to pay a call, we did. I had a very pleasant pint and bought six bottles to take home. Jan and I had a good chat with the brewer and his only other customer, all of us English.

This evening I am drinking Clogwyn Gold, from the bragdy Conwy. A typical golden ale, very hoppy. This one is bottle conditioned. Very enjoyable.

I bought some Broadside at £1.65 a bottle in Waitrose this morning. I see that they have redesigned their labels.

I had a can of this yesterday and it was very nice indeed.

A Czech-style pilsner from the Bragdy Cwm Gwaun. It's so new that it hasn't even got a label yet - the brewer hand-wrote one to say that it's 5.3% alcohol, is bottle-conditioned and contains yeast, hops and barley. It's rather good.
