noisy laptop fan

Lenovo Legion, a couple of years old, fan seems to have become very rattly/noisy over the last few months.  Effectiveness not compromised so far, but clearly if the bearings give up entirely it's a different proposition. Any partic solution?

Have you opened it up to check if the fan blades are dirty?
It is simpler than it looks.

Replacing the fan is usually easy once the back is off.

Sourcing one is more difficult as it has to be exactly the right one to fit the space.
