Well, in this time of crisis, how about some good news? It's now 8 weeks since I broke all three "malleoli" bones in my right ankle, but I'm now out of plaster and weight-bearing on both legs. I've just listened to Pop Master while on the rollers in the garage, so that's a good 10 or 15 minutes on the bike, and I can take the dog for a walk albeit with a pronounced limp. Actually the dog is pronounced good boy Rio.
After 8 weeks confined to the house because I can't drive or walk far, I was really looking forward to popping down to the local café on the e-bike to meet my Saddleworth Clarion club mates, so the current situation is a bit of a blow. Who would have thought that the world would be shut down in my absence?
On the Audaxing front, while I haven't actually cancelled my Llanfair 400 in May, I've offered my riders a refund to their entries, or a conversion into the equivalent number of entries to my own Perm series - not that anyone can ride those yet.
I'll keep the Pair of Kirtons 600 on the Calendar for now. It was planned for August, and perhaps things might have relaxed by then. I might even be able to look after some of riders displaced from the summer 600s if they haven't been able to resume.
