Well it looks like the stage is set for a ride to Stisted this evening. I will have a route suggestion for the Witham peloton by this evening but won't have the chance to share it; most likely my suggestion will involve a clockwise circumnavigation of Braintree dropping down on the Onley Arms from the north. But, that said, I'm more than happy to follow a wheel if someone has a nicer idea.

Does the planned route involve cart tracks or bridleways requiring a full bike service at the pub (again)? I'll choose bike to match the level of shite expected.

Sorry, he is going back today, and I did suggest a midnight train from Braintree with no success.  We'll have to send him pictures  ;D

I am not sure I'll be out tonight, I want to but I've sort of got the lurgy so suspect a late night and booze might not be the best combo.  Supposed to be FTP test day tomorrow too, so I think I should stay home and sulk rest...

I'm still stuck in the office  >:(  I will be coming out as soon as I can but may need to be a direct route to Stisted.
If I'm not at the roundabout for 7:30 or haven't messaged to say I'm going to be there in a few minutes don't wait for me, I'll see you in the pub.

Almost last call for seats at the Velodrome on Wednesday.  Still have plenty of spaces available - 2 instructors are booked and all paid for.
More details if you need them can be found at the Witham Cycling Facebook group page event https://www.facebook.com/events/668856389952988/
and
https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/london2012/velo-park/#track

Quite simply though, pay me and turn up at the Velodrome at between 7 and 7:30pm on Wednesday, ride a bike round the boards with great instructors looking after you, HAVE FUN!  Any questions, just ask.

If you are on the fence about going to the velodrome later in the month I need to know your intention very soon.  Please follow the payment link to book your place - https://paypal.me/GrantHuggins/36
Due to level of response so far I may need to cap participants at 15 unless there is a sudden surge in bookings to have 20+ riders.
If I cap at 15 I'll need to cancel the 2nd instructor with no possibility of late entries.

OTP I have these either paid up or expressions of interest that has reserved a place:

Beer Fuelled Commuter

If I haven't mentioned you please remind me that you had expressed interest.

ETA: The surge has begun

To embrace FORWARD PLANNING and noticing that we are due to visit the spiritual home this week here is a proposed route that diverges from the classic a little.  If Grey Sheep is intending to intercept at the Generals Arms I guesstimate the Witham peloton will be there a bit later than usual at 8:20.

For anyone that hasn't seen the results of the Velodrome flying lap (time measured in seconds, not minutes):
Oliver           16.86
Sam             17.30
Rob              17.72
Alister          18.15
Soupy          18.33
psyclist        19.17
Mike            19.24
Tomsk         19.30
AndyC333    19.33
BFC             19.34

So you would like a 16 mile round trip and home in time to be warm and toasty tucked up in bed by 10:30, is that what I'm reading in to your request  :P

I'm not sure ted is living in Terling although he does own a caravan so perhaps he's turned pikey and installed it next to his office.
