406 tubes

What tubes do folks use. All I can seem to find is  406 x 1.5-2.0  but find these a tad fat for a 1.5 tyre, like trying to wrestle a snake into a matchbox. Any 1.25-1.5 tubes out there, in presta.?

From a quick search (I don’t use CRC or Wiggle):

Yes I saw those, but the reviews state they are for 406 and 451, and come up a bit long in a 406, needing careful fitting to prevent foldiing.

I haven’t had any problems using those Conti tubes with 406 tyres but I generally use Schwalbe SV6 tubes.

Yes thanks, just found these myself, whilst searching for SV 6A (the lightweight ones) but these would be a bit tougher , thanks. I bought SV7 last time, which are bigger.

Schwalbe SV6 here.  Except for the Big Apples on the trike which get SV7, and the racing wheel on the Baron, which gets a SV6A

Schwalbe also sell an SV6a lightweight version. This is noticeably faster and more comfortable but easily damaged when installing and prone to manufacturing faults. They don't hold air for so long either.

IME it's finding them in stock somewhere that's the problem, especially online.

I have some Vavert 20 x 1 1/8 “ tubes quite happily running in a 40mm width tyre. Otherwise Schwalbe SV6 as above.
