Going to be one heck of a good fettling session when the result arrives though   ;D

Today the postman has delivered a saddle and rear dérailleur to go with my spare pare of pedals.

They now have a friend:

A Nexus 8-speed twist-shifter, plus an Alfine-8 speed fitting kit - both will end up on the Pugsley.

I only really need the anti-rotation washers out of the fitting kit, but spare cassette joints and cap nuts are fairly handy to have in the bits box.

Also got a HBFO container of orange-flavoured PSP22, 'cos I've run out - should last me for a while.

Looks like a good choice of components.  Give us a shout if you need any assistance building it up.

Does n+1 count as 'stuff', where n = bike?  If so, then yes, I have bought cycling stuff today.

I rode a 100 mile round trip today to save £7 postage on a barely used Magic shine stupid bright light for off-road night riding!

I ordered N+1 for my son! He decided his dream 18th Birthday present is a fixie, and was very keen on one here http://www.statebicycle.co.uk/
Whilst I would rather have bought him one from somewhere like On One, the price is pretty good on their site and I have a horrible feeling he will get it nicked at uni! I'm thinking of getting him a Street Cuff to lock it up with.

From Ebay, a pair of chrome plated toeclips for the Alleged Witcomb. They claim to be made in Torino. They were a fiver inc. postage. Is there a Torino near Croydon?

Parcel from SJS (I normally ride there but didn't fancy the trip home with the extra set of mudguards!).

45mm SKS guards for N+1 who hasn't arrived yet
M520 SPD pedals in black also for N+1
2 stem mounted bells (1 for my Fuji, 1 for a friend)
Carradice 2 litre zip up roll bag- this looks really lovely and is the perfect saddlebag for day rides when all I really need is tools, tubes and a waterproof/windproof. For a 200k+ I would still use my Barley but this is a lovely little bag for anything shorter. I like the zip closure with flap to keep rain out, it actually feels more secure than my other bags for purses and little objects. It's a Debby  :D

Bought some overshoes yesterday and had to take them back within seconds. Feet were freezing so popped into Rutland cycles at Grapham water purchased Endura MTB 500 overshoes large size for up to size 10.5 shoe. Unfortunately no chance, no way. who are they kidding Hose. Would not go near my size 10s.  So took back one unsullied overshoe and one quite muddy one. Not a blink, exchanged for next size up without any messing about. Nice one, good customer care (CTC discount too!) and of course will not hesitate to go back and recommend to my cycling cronies.

In order to ward off blue Monday, I appear to have bought a complete XT groupset, a seatpost, saddle and grips for my upcoming MTB build. Now debating building or buying a wheelset.

My postman is not going to be pleased, having to leave all those cards  :)

I'll post a pic of my stash when it all arrives

Slightly O/T, but if anyone is planning on buying a new groupset from Ribble, I've realised that following a purchase at Christmas, I've got a voucher for £50 off a groupset.  But it's only valid for January.

PM me if anyone wants it.
