Title: Script error always on the GCN strava page
Post by: andyoxon on 29 January, 2015, 09:33:37 pm
https://app.strava.com/clubs/globalcyclingnetwork    Script: https://d3nn82uaxijpm6.cloudfront.net/assets/application-e3f39aa7c84a95edc46ca9d517326475.js:10

Any ideas what scripts run when loading this page, as it reproducibly comes up with a not-responding/script error?   I'm using firefox/win7.

I think its just because the page is so big.
When you view the page, it loads a table with the leaderboard. So for that group, its a list of other 4000 users, complete with little icons for each. Plus it will need some sort of Javascript to make the table sortable etc.
So it makes several megabytes of HTML and Javascript etc, which most browsers will struggle with. It seems to be a problem with a few pages on Strava.

I find Chrome usually copes a bit better, but can still be a bit slow loading that sort of huge page.
