-3.8°C here at the moment. That equals last year’s lowest temperature at 7.44am on 16th January.

-5 in Slough this morning 🥶
the slower you go the more you see

The bin collection just happened a day earlier than expected. I can confirm it's quite cold to be out in bare feet.

'Only' -4º here in Somerset, but I've decided against an early morning run.

It got down to -8.1c in Bishop's Itchington, 7 miles east of Leamington overnight. Climbing steadily now, though.

-5° an hour ago in Suffolk. That’s quite chilly. Possibly a day for staying in bed.

-5.2°C here an hour or so ago.

Weather's gone bonkers here. Sub-zero most of yesterday, 6°C when we went to bed, reportedly 10° at 1am, 1° now and due to be -3° by the evening.  Meantime it has been pissing down and to walk the length of our drive you need that bloke Moses with you. It'll be shits & giggles on the roads for returning wage-slaves this evening.

It was -7.5° when I went to the gym this morning.  I had to defrost Mr R's car (mine's still with BMW), which is a pain as his doesn't have heated wingmirrors and the windshield heater is a bit pathetic.

The heating wasn't working properly at the gym this morning, but once we got into the HIIT session it wasn't really an issue... my head was steaming at one point.

It's currently -4° with bright sunshine and blue skies.

iirc 2010 was book-ended by two extended cold snaps.  I recall a run of days where the temperature stayed well below zero and we had minus 10 or lower overnight.

The local reservoir, Draycote Water froze over and our bath drain froze.  It took me hours to sort it: the bath that is ...

Only -1 here. It's always warmer in Bristol because of all the ex-London millennials burning avocado toast under their duvets.

It got down to -5.25°C here overnight apparently.  I saw -8 on my weather widget before I went to bed, but that's from the weather station at Mordor International, which is on the periphery of the urban heat island.

Forecast  +13c in a week or so..

We had -7 this am, although nearby Chesham was -8. We’ve had worse, I think our record was -18 in Dec 2010, with -20 in Chesham.

1C here atm - first time it has made it above 0 for about 5 days.

Rain forecast tomorrow, then downpour on Sunday, with gales.

Given we already have 18cm of snow on the ground, I forecast ice-covered roads, followed by floods.

It's a bloody stupid time to run out of heating oil (we are burning the dregs now, keeping thermostat down to 14C or under).
