BBC Natural History at it's best. No annoying presenters, just stunning photography (including a lot of amateur stuff) and interesting stories.

It's what an HD TV is made for.

I loved the Red Kites swarming round the plough, and a lot of the time lapse sequences. Great stuff  :thumbsup:.

We watched the first one last night. As you say, some fantastic photography, but the sound-track/narration were pretty irritating at times.

And the Stow Maries airfield is a damned sight more than a 10-minute owl flight into central London! Neither is it disused - it is a pukka WW1 airfield that has been well restored. I believe that Auntie Helen's pater has landed a plane there. WARTIERs may well recall it on the route between South Woodham Ferrers and the Round Bush pub & café.
