My first time for this event and on Fixed too!
Thanks Rob for an excellent event. Reduced to my lowest gear (walking) on a couple of hills! Hills did I say hills 16% proved more than a challenge. Weather was changeable but mainly kind!
Views were great...
Thanks for the company Mr Malmesbury Monk a.k.a The Flying Monk.

well done for attempting that climb on fixed, locally its know as cardiac hill

Only got to the bottom, saw the 16% sign and said .......... it. Engaged lowest gear and w.........!
I can well appreciate its nickname, cardiac arrest near enough while walking..
But thanks for the comment Lawnmowerman!

Anybody else riding the 2018 version this coming weekend?

The clock is ticking and I'm still undecided. If I do enter it'll be my 4th Raglan Castle. A dodgy knee is holding me back, and thoughts of climbing Bannerdown and of course Cardiac Hill are weighing heavily on my mind.

Nice route, I struggled with a couple of the info controls (and the hills and wind LOL), but would certainly recommend this event, and will hopefully be back to ride it again one day.
Ultimately I didn’t keep enough time in hand to finish my ECE though, rode 400 before stopping to sleep I think the wind had taken its toll, so I didn’t set an alarm, 7 hours later I woke - far too late to complete my ECE, ho hum, still had a nice day out
