Bacchetta Giro joins the trike
« on: 26 July, 2017, 08:18:16 pm »
After much deliberation I bought a giro 20 frame kit a few weeks ago
I've done a lot of Audaxes (for me) this year and the hand ,bum and neck aches are becoming tedious
I look back on the few months on the trike last year and fondly remember how pain free it was
The trike has it's problems tho mostly the weight and size..
It won't fit in my car and is a bugger to park outside of cafes often
So two wheels on my recumbent

It arrived with the wrong forks (26ers) but worked with a 20" front wheel and discs
However when I tried a 26" wheel on the front it just felt perfect so that's how it's staying
The MTB lost its avid hydraulic discs &wheels and a 10 speed shimano zee group set was added
Single 36t on the front and 11-36 cassette
Has the Euro mesh seat and schwalbe city jet 1.5" tyres

Was a bit interesting the first few rides especially right hand turns but is slowly becoming more manageable
250km + so far including a hilly (for Kent) 48 mile club run last weekend

The leg pain I'd forgotten from the trike return often but they'll go with more miles
I'm loving it
