I had a wee bit of wild camping this weekend.  Here's my Akto on the shores of Loch Laidon:

This was my first trip out in the Akto and it's a sweet wee tent with quite a lot of usable space.  It reminds me of a Spacepacker, with its ample porch space, but the inner isn't right against your face when you're sleeping.

Two tents and a tarp at Edwardstone on Sunday night.

and this my friends is ice. Water froze in the bottom of the jetboil overnight, I was glad of my bivvy bag as an extralayer.

I have a conventional Voyager - a good, strong, light tent, but for two it's snug (not necessarily a problem) and has limited storage.  The XL should be a massive improvement on that score.

Co-incidentally, my tent's last outing was (far too long ago :-[ - honeymoon) here:

Great campsite (and pub).

I'm not sure how much small tent cycle touring is going to get done this year so we might have to make do with some big (carpeted  ::-)  ) tent camping instead - never mind.

Here is our Kampa Pendine 8 on its second outing last weekend ...

Yes, I know, the awning's a bit slack.  Must try harder ...

Its proving to be a good tent.  The sewn in groundsheet was certainly appreciated as the weather was rather wet.  We were camping HERE.  A nice site, if a little pricey.

Great tent OD.  Handy, being able to park the car inside and keep it dry when you're camping.

You could get at least two Minis in our tent.  We could recreate the scene from The Italian Job where they're loading the Minis into back of the coach following the heist  ;D

Here's our Duolite Tourer

Hey, I've got one of those!  But without the extended porch thingy, as it's just for me on my own.  Stood up really well to high winds in the last couple of weeks on Lewis & Harris - first time out, and I'm really pleased with it.  Trip report with pics to follow...

When I pitched with the back into the wind, but it turned a few degrees and was hitting the tent at an angle, maybe 20 degrees... It was difficult enough to stand and there was no shelter for miles, crazy night
