That's one of my favourite bridges, that is.  Bonus points is you're halfway across when a train passes :)

I've never managed to do that!
We'll have to check timetables one day and go for it.

I used to have a flatmate from Falkirk, a long time ago when I had flatmates, who ended up moving to Stroud, where I grew up - and yet I've never been to Falkirk. I must remedy this immediately! Perhaps a train-assisted bike adventure is called for.

Falkirk is the Swindon of the central belt. The only redeeming feature is that there are god connections to get out of it by, and the wheel (which suffers a peculiar lack of signposting, as if they didn't want anyone to realise there is something decent there.)

I tried praying, but it didn't work.
Perhaps I was not trying hard enough?

I have to say there was excellent signposting on the roads, including the motorways.  Perhaps they only want people to arrive by car?  That said, one of the NCN routes runs right past it and there were loads of bike stands...

It was some time ago that I was there (2003). I had to know where it is and navigate there with an OS map..

And one day we'll have to catch a train to Scarborough for the day and go over it on the train.

Dull, dark, concrete bridge.  But very welcome, as it got us past The Road To Hell.  Near Merstham:

Top one, I think is London Bridge upstream to Westminster Bridge (London Bridge, Cannon St (rail), Southwark Bridge, Millennium Bridge (foot), Blackfriars Bridge (rail), Blackfriars Bridge (road), Waterloo Bridge, Hungerford Bridge (rail/foot), Westminster Bridge).  Tower Bridge may be in the mist at the bottom.

Second is Lambeth, Westminster and Hungerford (rail/foot) (l-r)

Third is Chelsea Bridge and Grosvenor Bridge (rail)

Excellent pics Deano

I recollect doing a job in Tate & Lyle's Sugar Quay building,Lower Thames Street adjacent to the Tower of London & Tower Bridge.
We spent several days installing equipment on the roof & I was suprised at the constant stream of aircraft heading down the Thames to Heathrow.Virtually constant at various racking height.Quite a usefull navigation aid is that river ;D

Up the Thames, ITYM (you'd be a rubbish navigator! :o ) ;D

They also use Richmond Park as a cue to lower the undercarriage.

I see from Gewgalling that the Hungerford foot bridges are actually called the Golden Jubilee Bridges.

I see that Lego bridge is in Wuppertal in Germany.

Wuppertal is really cool anyway as they have the hanging railway, the Schwebebahn, that I visited: http://wp.me/p1BXNZ-C

Near Forest Row.  Over a surprisingly deep valley with a tiny stream at the bottom.

Forest Way.  Unusual stone bridge with brick arch.  And a big crack.  Motor vehicles do drive over it. :o

Over fancy parapet over a private road/path which may have been Much More Important before.  On the edge of East Grinstead

Getting there...
