We have just had a wonderful evening on Blackpool promenade watching some seriously good racing. Very poor spectator turn out but I think those that bothered were well entertained. The drunken hen and stag parties just added to the spectacle. The men's elite race was especially thrilling with a nice downhill to the finish line which made for great sprints and breakaways. It was the first of three days of Blackpool events which culminate in a 100 mile road race on Sunday which very conveniently passes the end of our road. A nice weekend in prospect.
