When I am in routing mode, the scale of the map keep changing which is very annoying as I never know how far is the next turn. Is there a way to tell the GPS stop zooming in and out,I want to choose the scale?

Just shows you it takes all sorts. I like auto zoom mode which sort of homes into the next turn/waypoint as you approach it.
Edit: Though it is a pain when the display zooms out beyond the level at which roads are displayed in GB_Topo. A touch of a button resolves that problem though.
