Neat lavender oil.  Might smart a bit though.

Savlon and sleep, or at least, as much sleep as you need.
And drinking plenty of fruit juice or water, I would guess.

Wash it in soapy water first to kill off any bacteria.
If it will come into contact with anything else, a plaster to help keep it clean and prevent further abrasion. But a good airing should help too.

Anything antiseptic will help. I've used lip balm for saddle sore before.

Your problem is likely to be multifactorial. Address as many factors as possible.
Try to avoid further traction and friction trauma.
Keep the area cool (to reduce  sweating), well-aired, clean and dry. (I appreciate this is difficult in the area concerned.) Lycra is best avoided. Cotton and much washing might help.
Sometimes there's a fungal element to skin trouble round the norty bits and Caanesten helps.
Andrex Moist is your friend.

Take a bath with a couple of capfuls of Dettol in it, dry thoroughly, apply whatever ointments you favour.

ISTR you own a kilt,  wear that and go commando to let the afflicted areas dry out.  If you need some sort of cream then any of the ones recommended should do. I've used this with good results on tours were I've had to wear damp shorts for several days running

if the hairyness causes problems then book a waxing session once the skin has healed ?

I'm not sure waxing would be a good idea as infection often follows pulling hairs out. Trimming with scissors may help OTOH a cut hair will have a harder end than an uncut one and this too can damage the skin.

Sudocrem is being magical.  Like, with unicorns and elves.   :smug:

Close inspection reveals that this Autumn, I am channelling the pelt of a Turkish badger.  Clippers will be employed to about a #2.
