Little red spots...
« on: 02 March, 2009, 10:26:38 am »
I've started getting little red spots all over, just a few but definitely increasing in number, over most of my skin.  They're slightly raised, and a little itchy but not hot, and they're kinda silvery on top.

Psoriasis, chickenpox or shingles?    ;D
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Could be german measles, in which case it'll be gone in 24 hours or so.

You need to research on the internet: it's the plague. You'll get better after a few days...then drop dead.

Sounds very nasty - and from the sound of it your syphilis has just reached a new stage.  Unfortunately once it has gone this far there is not a lot that can be done - you should have got treatment years ago when all you had was the little sore.
An associated symptom is dementia and reviewing yuour posts here it is clear you have been exhibiting that for some time.

Sounds like bed bugs, apparently they are a lot more common than we think. Have you moved recently?

Bedbugs bites are usually in lines of two or three (breakfast, lunch and dinner) each about half an inch apart as they go for a wander over you. Each bite swells up to about 10-15mm across.

images.google.com has some interesting pics if you search for "bed bug bites".

I got bitten by bedbugs about 80 times in one night in a hotel in Ushuaia. Really really itchy for about a week but helped with Calamine and antihistamines. You don't want to squeeze them.

Does anyone else have the same symptoms?

And if so exactly what have they been doing with Andy?

Now, I do have one chin hair that is three times as thick as the rest, a real Turkish chest-hair cable it is, but I'm not de-evolving, just variating randomly.  :)

A good old scour of the intertubes says that this is either plague or guttate psoriasis.  Plague can be sorted with antibiotics and g.p. runs its course in a few weeks, or can be clobbered by the doc if it doesn't (and it responds to sunlight, yay).  I sense the recent intense stress at work (a "hulk smash" moment or two) as a trigger, the timing fits.  The good news is that it's not contagious so I can continue to swim.

Just in case, I've boil-washed the cat and de-fleaed the bedding.
