We have fun games, and educational (word-based) games. Bookworm adventures is brilliant for vocab.; you defeat monsters by assembling words from a grid of letters, scoring more for longer words.

What we don't have is a typing game. Seems to me that the market is missing out on something - making a children's game that relies on typing back patterns fast and accurately. A fun way to learn to type quickly.

Does anyone know of such a game?
