I am applying for a job where I need to describe a route planner in the form of a user guide. All well & good and summat I can do in my sleep normally.
Anyway, I chose to do it on my linux machine as it has a bigger screen that this poxy notebook. However, I have only really used GM on an iPad recently and it's easy to print off a map from that.
All I get on Firefox is as far as the route being displayed - and alternatives - but I can't see anywhere that I can click to print off the map and that is an integral part of the task. I don't really want to start again on this windoze machine, so any pointers as to how I can use the GM print facility will be greatly appreciated.

First off, I'm using old-style google maps. That fancy new, improved malarky seemed to gum up the works somewhere (either bandwidth or processing or both).
I enter start and destination and click to get a route. The route is mapped on the main pane to the right and is described in the column to the left (beneath the start, end boxes). Above the start, end boxes and above the icons for bus, bike, foot etc is a printer icon.
Click that and a new window opens.

Thanks. On my GM, I found a roundabout way of printing. I created a route then clicked on "List all steps". This did just that and gave a print option that opened up a preview of the maps and instructions. I simply wrote the instruction to use this method, adding that the route instructions were a useful addition.
