Very sad.

The 1980 German concert made it's way back up through the piles of MP3s in rotation last week, so I'd been beating up my eardrums to Heard it on the X, Fool for your stockings etc. for the last few days.
Probably like many, I came across them with their very commercial Eliminator and Afterburner albums in the 80s, then followed their back catalogue to the more down to earth Texas blues. Hadn't realised that Eliminator really only had Billy Gibbons playing on it.

I do wish I'd made it to see them live  :(

Saw them live at Newcastle City Hall sometime in the 80s and they were fantastic. I always preferred the pre Eliminator stuff.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

At least once at Donington and once right at the front at Hammy Odeon.  At the latter Billy Gibbons seemed to indicate he wanted to swap his hat with that of my mate Steve.  Steve declined.  The idiot :facepalm:
