Any recommended suppliers for generic replacements please?

I sent my MBP-15" 2014 to Nic at https://anymacrepair.co.uk in Harlow.  Saved the hassle of doing it myself.  He gave the laptop a good clean and replaced worn fans, the thermal grease on the CPU and a blown speaker at the same time.  Very thorough!  Now my MBP is working excellently again.  Remember to back up your data.

I got around to getting the HDD replaced on the iMac. I got a phone message to say that they had found a crack in the screen and did I know?  No, I said.

Free new screen and I am so glad I got a professional to do it!

Don’t use anything sharp enough to penetrate the battery housing.

Some of the replacement batteries are shite. Make sure you get one from somewhere with an easy return policy.

Also check how much Apple (and other professionals) charge. I don’t think it’s that crazy expensive compared to the challenge of DIYing it.
