Qualification SR - can I substitute a 400 for 300?

The 300 qualifiers local to me are all on 15th April, when I am unfortunately on holiday.

Wondering if I could do the Llanfair 400 as my 300 as it falls within the window for 300km qualifiers.

Yes but a longer qualifier can also substitute for a shorter brevet if it is within its own qualifying period e.g. 4 x 600 all within the 600 qualifier period.

You will need to do two 400km qualifers one for the missing 300 and one for the 400.
eg 200, 400, 400, 600

With hesitation when I comment on LWaB advice, but when you do the BRMs doesn't matter - the windows are irrelevant. If a BRM is shown as BRM(PBP) on the AudaxUK calendar that's fine (qualifiers in other countries are equally valid). The 'window' thing is really a guide to organisers of when they are 'allowed' to schedule a BRM(PBP) of that length in 2023. Good idea to get 3 of 4 done by mid June.

I think that's what LWAB meant.

The only time limitation is that

You will have to convert your pre-registration to a final registration (with at least 3 BRM numbers) before June 20, 2023, otherwise it will be cancelled.

so if anyone is reliant on two 600s both occurring after this date (if that is even possible) they will be out of luck.

In the UK 24th June is the last 600 qualifier, but it's possible someone could be awaiting a homogulation number for the ride on the 17th by the deadline of the 20th.
