Let's get on with it then. Lord Knaresborough's rules; remember that inverse diagonal crossing on the Bakerloo line is forbidden and assume that the Piccadilly line extension hasn't been built yet.

I'll start.

I'll play the Cholmondely-Smythe transversion which should, with a lucky shake of the dice, land us at Bounds Green!

Bah! You're all overcomplicating it. Cut to the chase -

New Cross Gate.

And in a spirit of friendliness, I'd advise checking the possibility of a transverse cross before playing Upminster, obvious as it may seem at first glance. ;)

According to stovold’s 2nd amendment to the standard convention, a transverse cross can't be played if we're using Knaresborough, so I suggest you're very careful not to end up in knip, Bledlow.

I shall make a Northern jump to Shadwell.

Dammit! I can't remember if Knaresborough includes Montecutes Secondary Station Ruling, or allows Forward Triangulation. I could be in trouble when it's my turn again. :(

Given that the onward interchange factor will be unity except for journeys to Chesham, Croxley or Watford, I'm forced to say Hainault (via Newbury Park).

So Mainline stations are wild, then?  Well that puts an entirely different perspective on this game.

If I'm not mistaken, I can stiff a hint of Blocker’s Feint here, so I'll play conservatively and move to Gants Hill.

I'll fianchetto my way to Tottenham Court Road.

BTW, Charlotte, was typing "stiff" instead of "sniff" a Freudian slip or double-bluff?

That's too much like a reversed Grob to be legal, Wow.  I'm afraid I'm going to have to challenge before we play on.

Not Freudian, I assure you...  ::-)

Well, if you are going to introduce Henri Grob into the equation I'll plump for Basel SBB. Or does a reverse Grob lead straight to Wimbledon?

You're going to end up right in the middle of someone's Basel Badischer Bahnhof trap if you do that.  Just a friendly warning, like...

<Sucks teeth>

Very clever.  Very shrewd, in fact.

<RaymondBaxter>

The game is certainly building in intensity now.  Hellymedic's bold strike-out from the perils of the Dollis Hill loop, moving bravely to Hampstead to avoid the risk of reflection at the Baker Street interchange, left her vulnerable to inversion and, indeed,  blocking.  Mr Larrington nobly declined the obvious opportunity to shunt her, however, and we have moved on to a fast and open passage of play in which caution is, quite frankly, being thrown to the wind.  Gripping stuff.

Hmm, a tough move, no doubt - but I'm going have to agree with robbarker, caution has been thrown to the wind.

Because of that, I am going to invoke the lesser known Subsection 12.1.2 from Kazuro Shiri's legendary interpretation of the Stratelligus Difficilium - my move is to Liverpool Street.
