It's not a retraction, it's a restatementification. She gets twice the publicity from this method.

I see Julia Hate Spewer is relentlessly living up to her moniker with her comments about the rioting in Brazil.

Got to redeem herself after embarrassing herself over Tate I guess ...

You'd think she'd be in favour, if we return the stolen property the museums would have either BRITISH artefacts or, erm, nowt; and have to shut up shop...

Don't see a problem sending them back. So straightforward these days to make digital and/or 3D replicas we could put on display.

Possible precedent for sending the Crown Jewels etc back where they came from?

They have replicas in the museum in Athens.
Having seen both the BM and the Acropolis museum, I'm all in favour of returning them. The display in the BM is very dated and does not show the marbles in the way they were originally laid out. That large space could be much better used. In the Acropolis museum, the marbles and replicas are arranged as they would have been, round the outside of the structure. The only difference is that they are rather closer to the floor level so you can see them properly. They are even on the same alignment as the Parthenon itself, which is visible out of the window.

I’m sure the tax office will find sufficient mitigating circumstances to allow him to avoid a large tax bill. After all, we want him to feel wanted and have sufficient funds to donate to a suitable political party.
For every complex problem in the world, there is a simple and easily understood solution that’s wrong.

He won't be buying it. Some company in the Cayman Islands will.

Isabel Oakenshott.

IMO a thoroughly nasty piece of work gaslighting the British people with her lies and absurdly unbelievable assertions yet again.

This is a brexiteer who refuses to accept that the GFA effectively makes the application of a "smart border" impossible with current available  technological capabilities.  But of course, it's just the fault of people who don't want it to happen because they are the ones in power, aren't they?
