That is sad.

Not sure if he ever quit, but he was a career smoker - probably caught up with him in the end as 65 is too young to go really.

I'll be playing my PF playlists on the MP3 player tomorrow.

Waters treated him like shit when he was alive, too.

Much Saddened by the news.   :'(
Loved his playing, especially the extended ethereal chord that Opens "Shine on you Crazy Diamond" ... the way it just hangs there in space... magic.  Thanks RW, RIP.

Sad, very sad.

I remember seeing the band at Knebworth '75 and thinking afterwards that it was Wright that seemed to hold the whole thing together.

Johnny Walker (sitting in for Terry Wogan) opened the show this morning with 'The Great Gig In The Sky'.

Electrifying.

From David Gilmour.

'He wrote The Great Gig In The Sky and Us And Them, and what would Dark Side Of The Moon have been without them. No one can replace him'

Bad day.

Sleep well, Rick

The correct order for the Beatles would have been all together in a plane crash before the hideousness that was Imagine, Mull of Kyntire and My Sweet Lord.

I left him out in recognition of his fine work narrating Thomas The Tank Engine stories

But then we wouldn't have had "The Frogs Chorus" or "Don't go chasing polar Bears"
