CW Games time trials
« on: 12 October, 2010, 07:49:51 pm »
Heads-up, last cycling events. I'm curious to see how well Hutch goes at this level. I guess Pooley will be disadvantage by the pan-flat course.

On past form, the Beeb will dip in and out of these during the morning (assuming there are other, more thrilling sports to show):

Wednesday October 13
06.00-07.20 - Women - 29km individual time trial
08.30-10.45 - Men - 40km individual time trial
Has never ridden RAAM

And watch out for our very own fellow YACF-er, elgin_al, doing his UCI official bit in the start house.  5...4...3...2...1...go.
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

Oh dear. Have you told him the bad news yet?

(Then again, he probably did a good job as they didn't mention any screw-ups  :) )

I don't think the BBC showed anyone actually starting.

They did on iPlayer.. Moderately tall chap with beard proving his ability to count down from 5 with appropriate hand gestures..

Aye, that's him. I have to say, I thought Al's hand gestures for the countdown were not only "appropriate" but were indeed quite stylish.  :)
