[HAMR] 7th November - Teethgrinder Day 92/311
« on: November 07, 2015, 09:48:25 am »
Cant't even begin to imagine what happened yesterday that precipitated Idai appearing at Amersham (?) and Steve overnighting at Eaton Socon.

No doubt it will all come out in the fullness of time, but hopefully today is a new day and Steve will be on the road soon.

A bit wet here but I am sure that isn't the biggest TG hurdle that Steve has to cope with.

Allez Steve!

At least being in an hotel means:
  • one or more hearty breakfasts, and
  • being thrown out into the wet and windy outside world instead of being tempted to loaf in bed all day

It's horrible out there.  Cycling in this takes determination and audacity.  Forza!

It may be horrible, but it is very warm! 17°C here in Saarfend!

There was talk of finding a Sports Performance Nutritionist - reccomendations to Idai were asked for, perhaps it were to do with that?

That would be a good thing IMHO.  Not only for physical fitness, but psychological too.
Most of us have experienced what mismanaged  feeding can do to the mood on tours or even day rides.  God knows what Steve must go through occasionally.  Not only does he have the strength of mind to push his body on through the wearies, but also to fight those dark moments of the mind.

GO STEVE!

Two rides registered again, for a total of just under a Godwin 321 km pr so. Very tough day for it as well, especially since his guts haven't sorted themselves out yet.

On this morning I rode one hundred milligodwins, or, in old money, 0.8 hemidemisemigodwins. Even this wasn't much fun.
