Windows 7 downloads
« on: 19 April, 2012, 04:42:05 pm »
Just got the new desktop with Windows 7 and feel the same as when I jumped from Windows 3.3 to XP. Where is everything?

Anyway - most pressing issue.

Using IE9 and hotmail, when I click an attachment nothing happens. Right right click and open a new tab and it simply opens a new tab for hotmail.

Are they going somewhere i don't know? There's a folder called downloads but that it is empty.
A shitter and a giggler.

Can't help with Hotmail, but IE9 is mostly well behaved AFAIK, but I don't use it much, Chrome/FF/Opera are good advice.

Couple of small tips, if you miss your XP quicklaunch, you can get it back http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-7/add-the-quick-launch-bar-to-the-taskbar-in-windows-7/, If you shift click on a window tab you get a new instance of the program, "shake" a window from the top bar minimises all others, in explorer shift-right click pops up an option for a dos command box at that folder (not docs)
