Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day.

Wading past the rampant commercialism of the day, may I wish everyone a “Happy Valentines Day” to you and those who you love.

If you are not in love, or simply because you are a nice person (you come here, so I take that as read), why not make a special effort# today to do something nice to someone or something you don’t know.

For examples, pass a compliment to a stranger or buy their shopping for them when in a shop/supermarket; pet a cat* who seems lonely; smile instead of using a rude word to that dtupid driver; decide the World would be a better place if you did, or didn’t do something you normally did/didn’t do.

You get the picture… be nice and spread a bit of love#

# Wouldn't the World be great if it didn't have to be a special effort!

Yes indeed , and what better way to do so than with an old bicycle part from Kingston Eco-op.

Don't you think people would be freaked out if someone offered to pay for their shopping? I would be!

Yep, sad isn't it. Doing something nice to a random stranger is likely to get you arrested!

But why not try.... if we all tried then slowly it would become normal and the World a might nicer place to live.

To be fair, no-one is actually sure how Valentine died.  Part of the problem being there is more than one....

St Valentine's Day is all Chaucer's fault apparently.
