Recovery pants

The missus is in an FB running group generously peopled with USanions. A lot of them swear by baggy recovery pants (upon my trousers!) that come up to the armpits and cost a packet. After a run people put them on and lie down for a while. Herself reckons there must be something in them beside bits of survival blanket and a lot of marketing.
Has anyone any knowledge of such things? It sounds a bit like magic blue Sellotape to me.

That sounds like a huge pile of magic woo. I cannot wait to read the marketing 'literature', it's bound to be hilarious.

People will buy all sorts of guff if it is marketed well.
I used to keep a pair of jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt to hand just to stop rapid heat loss. Also good to walk around a little and do a few gentle stretches imo to stop muscles cramping up.

Getting something warm on immediately after ceasing running has long been a 'thing' to help prevent injury, help recovery. Sounds like a marketing guff version of this.

Shell suits used to do a good job as they seemed to have good heat retention. Of course, you looked like a real knob wearing one, but hey...

Recovery? Just wrap a rug round yourself and have a nice slow mug of tea.

I'll ask the missus for a reference so that we can have a laff.
