Nikon Choice

I currently have a Nikon D70 and for some reason I've started looking at an upgrade.

Choice is probably a D7000 (say s/h £400) or a D7100 (s/h £600). Is the £200 extra worth it?
The D7200 looks nice but utterly outside the price bracket.

Main reason not, say the D5300, is I'd like metering with my older lenses.

Any thoughts?

I'd fork out the extra 200 just for the sensor - 24 Mp & no low-pass filter.  You also get a much better AF system and a somewhat larger LCD (but not much).
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Definitely the D7100 over the D7000

I've had both bodies and the 7100 is a different beast.
It is simpler than it looks.

Many thanks.

Looking at the specs, if the 7100 is 10x better than the D70, the 7000 is 9x better - both are worlds apart from the technology 10 years ago.

(aaargh - they have a cash back deal on a new D7100 if you buy a lens.............satan away!)

Consider http://www.hdewcameras.co.uk/nikon-d7100-camera-body-1257-p.asp

Grey import Nikons, no Nikon warranty, but huge saving and from a UK dealer with its own after-sales support.

I have bought a lens from this source (but never had to return anything).
