I think I'm officially Dibdib DipHE LLB(Hons), but I don't think I've ever used either of them "officially" (or even seriously).

I had a friend who was The Librarian* at a large London teaching hospital. She refused to bother with any of her qualifications on her name badge. People occasionally asked (as everyone else made sure that all of their letters were there). Her standard response was "Do you think the hospital would employ someone in the role who wasn't appropriately qualified?" which usually did the trick.

* I never once heard her say "Ook" though.

Blimey. That's ridiculous - for a start, neither of mine are even relevant to my job (the LLB is a law degree and the DipHE is in computer science).

It can get a bit silly. What next - a hyperlink to your CV for every email sent?

I can't sleep in a room with a ticking clock. When I stay at my mum's, I have to take the battery out of the clock in the spare bedroom.

I want to do the dishes then spend a few hours making curries and dhal. Unfortunately there are issues with the Edinburgh water supply today and I can't. *drinks lots of San Pellegrino lemon*

That's a pain! I have 2x 2 litre bottles of Sainsbury's Basics still water for such contingencies. They were 17p each.
I'd give them to you if you weren't so far away...

Probably, but any Bears fans will most likely be disappointed after their performance in the first semi...

Just heading downstairs to make lunch when one of the dogs throws up on the landing.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

A Several of years ago Miss von Brandenburg was just heading out of the (shared) house to go to "Glasto" when The Cat did that.  It must have happened after we left, she said, from the safety of a soggy field in Somerset.

At least ours hadn't had time to fulminate.  But unusually, dog B wasn't interested in clearing it up so I had to do it.

I've been sent to the kitchen.  Mrs. B is in Brum for the long w/e.  She's watching Pride and/or Prejudice.  Apparently, I'll just keep commenting.   :demon:

"How come his shoes/clothes are so clean?"
"Why has that person got a 21st century hairstyle?"

Note to self. Next time you book a Paris hotel for the end of August, forget the location, forget the olde worlde charme, just make sure it's got bloody air conditioning!

It's 32C outside, even with the window open its warmer in here.
