Liverpool Football Club staff have been issued with a guide to unacceptable language so they can help eradicate verbal abuse from fans.
The handbook highlights discriminatory phrases including "don't be a woman", "play like a girl" and "that's gay".
OK, I'm against discrimination but really? How exactly is one to describe Liverpool's play nowadays?
Can anyone, in all seriousness, imagine any scouse steward, standing in front of the Kop, dragging some old bloke out of the ground for telling Louis Suarez he "plays like a girl"? I think that one must be #987 in the list of most offensive chants they've been issued.
