Title: Help choosing a disc brake rotor
Post by: greenmeansgo on 13 February, 2010, 06:30:10 pm
I want to improve the braking on my touring bike. It has Avid BB7 (road) disc brakes, which get very hot on descents, and the front particularly doesn't provide very powerful braking. I reason that a larger rotor will improve performance and also aid in cooling. So I'm going for the biggest (203mm).

As a disc brake novice, how do I chose which rotor to go for? The Avid ones are almost twice the price of others. Any comments on the few I've been looking at would be great, or suggestions for others.
