MrsC and I are having a weekend in that London in a couple of weeks time. For reasons best known to my better half, we are staying in Dorking (to be fair, we need the car on the Sunday and I suspect anywhere closer in was prohibitively expensive by the time you consider parking).
We therefore need to get into London on the Saturday and will be using the train. Does it make sense to buy the tickets in advance, or do we just turn up and pay?

I've had a quick look and the fares don't seem too bad.
I'll point MrsC there later. She knows when we need to be in London.

I was there today with Pippsy and I put my leg over a Whitedown, which was a nice bike. The frames are made for Pilgrim by Bob Jackson. Then the nice man talked about a Bob Jackson Vulcan, which has Curly Hetchins heritage and I had a little moment.

Not yet, but it's a distinct possibility as a Mercian* replacement.
*auto correct on this tablet gave Marxian as its preferred alternative. I'm not sure a left leaning bike would be much use.

GPWM. Sorry for the slight derail (see what I did there?)
Anyway, SteveC, beware of Works On The Line throwing a spanner in the works. I know that trains from further south into Dorking are banjaxed in a few weeks time, but I'm not sure where the blockage is. Keep a close eye on the National Rail website.
