I'm unlikely to make it yet again...work is just too busy! Enjoy!

Mate you need a new job. I'd go and work for one of those banks as we all know those bankers do fuck all yet get paid shed loads.

It's all flat from Witham to Chelmo isn't it??

Nik - can't you just get off the train at Clemo and train back to the bike in Witham ?

We'll probably be heading down earlier to get some food en route, probably by foot...

I have a new plan.  I'm still in London, so I will just get off the train at Chelmsford and walk to the BF.

Heads up chaps and chapesses,
Open the spoiler link for details of a Velodrome session on Wednesday 3rd August from 8pm, get in quick if you're interested this time because I am going to cap the maximum number of riders to 15 unless I get lots of interest very quickly to make it worthwhile booking a 2nd instructor, if that is even possible with the lead time.

Mersea Yacht Club on Wednesday ?

Anybody for the DunRun on Saturday night? [Ok, perhaps not for those out on Hereward the night before...] - that seems to be most of the ACME suspects now btw.

I can't be out as I'm in That London all week taking care of visiting colonials.

Ted, if you need your AUK Organiser reference signed why don't you email me a copy, I'll sign then scan and send back. The powers-that-be accept scanned signatures anyway.

I am going to give Wednesday a miss. Another attack of Gout in my foot is making me a little uncomfortable and I am also riding the London to Southend with some old work colleagues on Sunday so I better put in some family time during the week!

Ok, so here's the thing...I've received the invoice for the Velodrome trip on the 3rd Aug and I've been invoiced for 2 instructors although I only requested one on the booking form.  Now this means that I either need to have a discussion with them about taking off the 2nd instructor or have 20+ places sold to make it worthwhile keeping the 2nd.  So far I have 12 confirmed reservations and not all of the usual suspects OTP have expressed an interest.
I have OD, Oaky, bobb, Warrior Princess, Secret Squirrel Gavin, DL & friends, some from WC, and mini Huggy.  There will be a mix of abilities in a group of 15 or two groups of another number so don't be afraid to come along, experienced or not :)

I have a pass tonight after all so I should see you all somewhere along the way. I have some fettling to get done so depending on how long that takes I will either head straight for Mersea or try to intercept between Messing and Witham.

I suspect you will be around the Feering/Inworth area around 8:15ish with a 19:30 depart so will aim for that.

Not drinking remains though, the gout seems to have backed off but I don't fancy pushing my luck!

Special request, how about the Axe and Compasses in Aythorpe Roding on one of 13th, 20th or 27th July? For me, it would be good to have something in the diary so that I can arrange to not be working in London on that day.

http://theaxeandcompasses.co.uk/

Now the beer festivals have concluded, would a venture to the western reaches of the area be on the cards for Wed 27th?
