Looks like just me then  :'( - so maybe do something else; Easter Arrow planning...? By the way, the Baron's Rides for the Essex Bike Bicentenary are up and running, should be online and in the next Arrivee. I'll start a thread for them soon too.

Apologies for going dark for a while, hope you had a good velodrome session yesterday. I seem to have got myself a pass for Saturday :-) - Is there room for one more? I'm assuming its a 10am start at weatherspoons?

I have a busy few days to come so I am thinking ahead to Wednesday evening.  FORWARD PLANNING TM (current score: 10-3) suggests we might go to The Hurdlemakers at Woodham Walter.   Should the suggestion be agreeable the Witham pelton might like to follow THIS ROUTE.  We used it in October 2015 in case you thought it looked familiar.

I'll probably be coming out on Wednesday.  Happy to go to the Hurdlemaker's (although I think somebody - possibly huggy - was talki g on Saturday about maybe going to the spiritual home, on account of needign to talk to Joss about something).

I don't mind going to the Spiritual Home.  I have such a commanding lead off-piste suggestions can be easily accommodated.

Should the Witham peloton simply follow it's collective nose?

(Off topic) my wife seems to think there is not a sensible way to transport a viola on a tandem bike. Is she right?

Currently I driver her to the station, drive home and then take my bike to the station. She is involved with a lot of school music so she takes her viola in 3 days a week and we both have rucksacks. Am just trying to see if there's a way to not admit defeat to the automobile...

There's a bunch of discussion here.

I wondered about the possibility of retrofitting rixen/kaul handlebar bag fittings to a hardcase,  or just putting the hardcase in a basket (possibly with extra padding and bungees)?

I'd worry more about the (un)suitability of the secure parking area at the station for a tandem  :-\

That seems the most sensible discussion but also here:

and

"proper backpack (the hiking variety)" seems to be the favoured solution...

So the general consensus is: 20:00 at the Battesford Court next week, so we can make an earlier start on the serious LEL business. Hope the farther-flung attendees can make it for then.

:'( Can't make it tonight, I have to be home with the older 2 Tippers'  as Catherine is out. The suggestion of leaving them to it earned me one of 'those' looks!
