 Glad you all survived the rain and vistation.
Admiral's Park next week?

Note re: Not The Windmill Rides on Sunday 21st June - I've just been reminded it's Father's Day  ::-) ... As of recent years I've been off leading IBT tours mid-June, [USAnian FD is later I think, so doesn't feature in the management's calculations] and thus there's a bit of a three-line whip in operation chez Tomsk. I will have to try and negotiate a pass for Saturday 20th to ride the route.

Are the Windmill rides going ahead though? I'd like to enter, but it appears cancelled on AUK?

That would necessitate me becoming your lodger.  I'm not sure that would work for a whole host of reasons  ;D

Hmmm Father's Day (aka Hallmark / Clintons Cards Day) which along with Mother's Day I have a low tolerance for  ::-)  Probably means the whole weekend is written off for me from a cycling PoV  >:(

The official rides aren't going ahead, but 'somewhere' there is a post about the organiser letting people ride them on an informal basis, social distancing. Basically just riding the route in your own time. I've seen it in the past, but cannot find where that is now.

After last night's "Sorry darling I can't even fix a puncture" shenanigans I suspect Septic is longing for the distant day when he can choose what to do.

If jibers was willing then we could hit up his gaff.  I know his garden is quite big but not sure whether we can get in it without going through the house and I think that's illegal at the moment but I'm starting to get confused about what we can and can't do.  Just thought, we probably can't hold hands 'fandango  :'(

That's right, I did consider offering but access is through the house, so even without the lockdown it might be tricky with our lovely thick white carpet lol

You can go inside somebody's house to use the facilities. So we could all arrive with a full bladder!

Public parks and commons are looking very lush just now, possibly not just the recent rain, ... maybe we should all bring our own en-suite facilities to Admiral's Park ...

James Cooke Wood might work for an outdoor location one night... There are four very socially distanced benches in that clearing.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

Richard Ellis 200km route today, two feeds, including the biggest 99 I've ever had, at Mannintree!

Re: next weekend - I'll be riding the 'Not the Windmill Ride' 200km on Saturday I think [as Sunday is Father's Day]. Starting [and finishing] in Dunmow, to Chelmo, though probably not bothering with the urban bit to/from the Chelmer CC hut, up to Newmarket, then Saffron Walden etc. Saddlebag full of Marmite sarnies, more home baking etc ... pub stop if anywhere en-route is doing takeaway socially distant beer. Anyone else interested?
