We got snowed on at the campsite in Bletchingd/ton, just North of Oxford.  It made a change from the rain which was falling from about 5am till we arrived in Oxford after 3pm.  Although it was cold, no snow settled.

Cycleman was riding home downwind, so unlikely to have escaped the rain much at all. :(

It was sleeting this morning on the top of Lansdown hill (close to Bath) as I was on my Sunday morning outing.

There's plenty in Eryri: the best we've had all winter. (When the east had spectacularly wintry weather it got a bit cool here). The tops look wonderful.
I managed to find some to ride in: at 600+ m on Marchlyn Mawr (on the road to the top of the pressure relief shaft at Dinorwic power station).

A few hail showers this afternoon on the low land between Bristol and Bath.

Stunning.  It's so heartening to have a lovely view. I well remember the view from my landing window in Mankinholes.  I'd wake up in the morning and stumble along to the stairs, with my smile widening as the panorama did.

*sigh*

Got hailed on heavily in Manchester.
It is simpler than it looks.

Snowing reasonably heavily here. Proper, mid-winter, dry flaked snow. I am in Finland (Jyväskylä), so I guess it's understandable. Perhaps I'll take a taxi to work tomorrow rather than borrowing one of the hotel bikes.

Well, it isn't, but the temperature here is a mere 6°C, in stark contrast to yesterday, when it was nice and warm and sunny.

I understand that Manchester is expecting 20°C this afternoon - the bastards!

There was a noticeable East/West split yesterday. It was easily 20c riding through the Forest of Dean.

I think the temperature yesterday was getting on for 20°C in Cambs / N. Essex, but as we approached the Crouch & Thames estuaries it became noticeably cooler. I was down to 1 layer for most of yesterday's ride.

Edit: just checked E. Anglian Met Office. Highest in East of England was 18.7°C in Cambridge (NIAB).

At my house the temperature struggled to get into double figures for most of the day. A mile inland the temp was 16.5 degrees plus!   :-\

Indded. The maximum temperature in our garden was 16.4° - and we are about a mile inland!

It seems to be 14-15°C in London today, very nice and mild.  I just used a short sleeved YACF jersey cycling to Sutton earlier, and that was perfectly comfortable.

I think we've seen the last of any snow now, at worst we may get the odd bit of hail, which won't settle, until the late autumn.
Actually, it is rocket science.

I presume the fog didn't burn off then. It was quite nice on the south coast all weekend.

Hey ! Not fair.
It's not been exactly brilliant up here over the past few weeks.
Still, at least we've got lots (of the Lake District's) water.

Think I might need the sun-cream again tomorrow.

It's not been foggy, just cloudy. The sun did emerge this afternoon, but far too late and briefly to make any difference.
