Nearly 24°C in Aboyne yesterday  :o

There's a great pic of an almost cloudless British Isles at http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17535199

Well I am supposed to be riding out from Rannoch to visit friends in Pitlochry tomorrow morning.  I can't get hold of them at the moment so am a bit perplexed.  Don't fancy getting off the train at 8 am tomorrow to find that road is impassable. Anybody know how I can find out?

nothing here west of Brecon, just overcast grey skies it has rained over night though. But snow would not be unusual for Easter here
we've had some horrendous weather in the past, unable to turn lambs out or having to use plastic macs for them etc. it was minus 2 on Sunday though    ::-)

No snow here on the CUmbrian coast, but a lot of rain falling at the moment (and on my commute in).

Very wet ride in today - about 2-3 inches of wet claggy snow. I should have worn the cycle shoes and taken a spare pair of socks.

I'm hoping that Norfolk will be lovely & warm next weekend.  No sno, please.

Mind you, if it does snow, we'll still go camping.
Getting there...

Duck-egg blue skies in Brighton at the mo, and pleasantly warm. You can keep your snow thank you very much.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

Thanks for that.  I have a feeling the road will be pretty icy tomorrow morning. And my friends who planned to head westwards today from Aberdeenshire to spend the night in Pitlochry to meet me there tomorrow, haven't been able to get on the road from their isolated home.

My morphine induced slumber came to a ridrudee awakening thanks to a load of gravel landing on the roof.
Apparently hail. not allowed to nip out and check for myself, in case I make a run for it.

I have had a series of increasingly apopleptic texts from my dad this morning. He's in Huddersfield, his house is on a t-junction and two of the bits of the t are steep hills. At the last count he was grumpy about
- 13 cars abandoned at the bottom of the hills
- muppets trying to drive up steep hills in rear-wheel drive German cars in 4" of snow
- some idiot in a white van coming down one hill and trying to turn right up the other one and spending ten minutes not even making it off the junction
- the lorry from Quarmby garage which is now stuck

He really needs to get a better hobby.

Some of this lot's fallen on Eryri (we were lucky last time).

A couple of inches of horrible wet crap: its driveable with reasonable care.
